January Committee Meeting

PARENTS WANTED!!!  PLEASE ATTEND TUESDAY'S COMMITTEE MEETING TO HELP THE PACK MAKE PLANS AND DECISIONS ABOUT YOUR SON'S SCOUT ACTIVITIES.

 

This meeting will focus on the following topics:

1. Pinewood Derby. We need volunteers to help plan the event as well as help work a couple of stations.
2. Upcoming Events.  Zoo Sleepover, Spring Camp out, Girls In Cub Scouts, and much more!

This meeting is on Tuesday January 23rd,  at 6:30 pm at the West Valley Christian Church in the Connecting place (the big room where we have pack meetings).A Cub Scout pack committee is essentially the board of directors for a Cub Scout pack. This committee is a group of at least three people who assist with supervision and management of a the unit. They provide resources and support to the Cubmaster and Den Leaders so they can provide the program in accordance with Boy Scout policies and regulations.

We invite all Interested Scout parents who would like to take a more active role in the activities of our pack to attend these meetings, where typically the Pack Chairperson, cubmaster, and den leaders attend. This is were we plan and formulate our events and calendar for the year. We also discuss new directions and programs to integrate into the existing program. These meetings are held at least quarterly or monthly depending upon upcoming events.

2. Upcoming events.  We have camp Josepho, The Santa Monica Mountain Clean up, Police Station Tour, and Zoo Camp out to discus and plan.

Annual Planning Meeting

ALL HANDS ON DECK!  LEADERS AND PARENTS WANTED!!!  PLEASE ATTEND OUR ANNUAL PLANNING MEETING TO HELP THE PACK MAKE PLANS AND DECISIONS ABOUT YOUR SON'S NEXT YEAR OF SCOUT ACTIVITIES.

The Pack Committee helps ensure that our Cub Scouts are offered fun-filled and meaningful events through the year. 

Parents please attend and help enrich and strengthen our Pack. Topics include upcoming pack meeting plans, pack leadership roles,  and upcoming large-scale activities.  The committee meets every month but this one is the MACK DADDY OF THEM ALL -- our annual planning meeting!  

We have a few leadership roles we need to have filled and just by coming to these meetings -- you could help the Pack tremendously!  You can RSVP on Scoutbook or just show up!  The meeting agenda link will be posted in the Comments field below the event on the ScoutBook calendar.  We ask that you please print your own (no wasted paper).

The meeting is at 6:30 pm at the West Valley Christian Church on Tuesday, May 23.   (They usually start at 7, but since this one tends to run a little long, we are starting at 6:30pm) We will be finalizing the calendar for the 2017-2018 Pack year, reviewing the dues structure, budget, setting dates for the entire calendar, as well as finalizing summer activities.  Please come join us!

April Committee Meeting

PARENTS WANTED!!!  PLEASE ATTEND TUESDAY'S COMMITTEE MEETING TO HELP THE PACK MAKE PLANS AND DECISIONS ABOUT YOUR SON'S SCOUT ACTIVITIES.

 

This meeting will focus on the following topics:

1. Spring Camp Out. Last minute details about the spring camp out this weekend. 
2. Blue and Gold.  We have our annual blue and gold banquet coming up in a few weeks.  We need to start preparing for the big event where the boys will bridge into the next rank and also receive many awards!

March Committee / Parent Meeting

PARENTS WANTED!!!  PLEASE ATTEND TUESDAY'S COMMITTEE MEETING TO HELP THE PACK MAKE PLANS AND DECISIONS ABOUT YOUR SON'S SCOUT ACTIVITIES.

 

This meeting will focus on the following topics:

1. Reviewing the Pinewood Derby. Disusing what we liked, what we didn't like, and anything new we would want to add for next year.  We will also start planing the 
2. April Family Camp.  We still need to set a menu and plan activities to keep everyone busy while camping.  
3. Selecting Class "B" uniforms.  A class "B" uniform is usually a pack tee-shirt that is worn to pack events when a full uniform is not needed.  We will be selecting 3 designs for a pack tee-shirt that the boys can vote on.
